Keynote at the Stellenbosch University Library Symposium

I am very honoured to be giving a keynote on UX Research and Implementation in Libraries, at the Stellenbosch University Library Symposium. The theme this year is User Experience, and I'll be talking about what UX is, how it works in practice, and how we use it at the University of York.

(As much as I'd LOVE to head back to South Africa, I haven't been able to make the travel work this time so am doing it remotely. One day I'll get back!)

Life, Librarianship and Everything: talk at NLPN OPEN, Manchester

I am absolutely delighted to be giving a talk at the NLPN's conference at Madlab in Manchester. I really miss interacting with New Professionals (now it's a full five years since I could legitimately call myself one) and this talk is about things I wish I'd known earlier.

There's loads of other great talks happening too. NLPN are a great group, really looking forward to this whole thing.

More details of the event here from NLPN's own blog. Get your (FREE) ticket via Eventbrite, here.

Keynote at LIANZA, New Zealand

I am as excited and honoured as I've ever been to be delivering a Keynote at the annual LIANZA conference. This year it's in Wellington, at the very cool looking Shed 6 in the harbour. My talk will be on the Tuesday afternoon - I'm also a 'human book' on the Monday afternoon...

The theme of the conference is SHOUT! The provisional title for my talk is 'How to shout so your users listen, and listen so your users shout'...

Details of the conference, including booking info, are emerging on the LIANZA website.
